Aesthetically, the film was original and generally good, however, the "story line" appears to be disjointed and exhibits a great ammount of ennui. You have some obvious skill as an animator, but you need to actually come up with an interesting story.

Interesting concept, but it's lacking the elements of a good submission. The graphics were poor, the sound was of low quality, and the voices sounded forced, the story was rather original, while still a bit disjointed. Keep at it.

It was okay.

Nothing special, and it was a bit short, but the voice acting was pretty good, and atlease it's more original than AFD.

MACception responds:

Thanks :P

I liked it.

It was well made, with a generally amusing story and concept, the animation was pretty good too, even if it was traced (?). Good job.

SirHappy666 responds:

Traced in places, I think it would be impossible to animate with that level detail in the motion otherwise.

Not a real fan of these submissions.

The whole "taking an avi file and converting it into a poorly compressed video of me and by buddies playing with toy guns while pretending to be in a video game" concept doesn't really seem appropriate for Newgrounds, personally I think that the "Flash Portal" should only be used for flash movies and games, this concept has been over done as it is.

xequtor12 responds:

Yea, I also think that clock submisions are getting freaking old after 5 years. Oh, and Im more original than you.

Funny movie. . . but

There's room for improvement, the artwork isn't THAT bad, it could stand a bit more detail and more subtle outlines, maybe a little more natural shading and a little less of the radial tool too.
I liked how you made your character roll instead of hop, as ball Clock's generally do, and I couldn't help but laugh at the part where Rupee was taking a shit :D
The humour was good, and the concept was flawless, but you just need to improve on the art and animation a tad, it looked like you were using 12 - 14 FPS, use 24, a higher framerate will make your animation look much better.

I love your submissions.

Whenever I watch a BobbyClock movie, I'm instantly reminded of some of the great Clock films from the past, films that would start out as to catch the eye of the average Newgrounds user, only to deliver a message at the end which is what could only be described as "powerful". The animation was great, very smooth and fluent (30 fps? correct me if I'm wrong) and to top it all off you incorperated Big Ben.

ShitlordCentral responds:

{{{Tremclad}}} <3 I love the reviews you give me.

You're close on the fps. I work with 36, and I've nearly got the hang of working at that speed =D

Shows a great deal of potential.

I'm not going to evaluate this film on what it "could have been", but you show a great amount of potential, unlike most newer animators, you actually took the time to animate your characters (for the most part) with a minimal amount of tweens, and a lack of tweens is sexy, althought this film was by no means the greatest, it's a great indicator of the quality of your work to come, good luck with your future submissions.

Great movie.

Far too few Newgrounds users know how to enjoy something that's completely nonsensical and generally just plain stupid.
I found this utterly hilarious, and to top it all off the animation and artwork was generally well done too. It's really sad when you see a submission like this pass with a score below three, and the one frame "Foamy Hurricane Tribute" pass with a score of 3.87. Keep up the good work, and whoever fronted this (I'm assuming it was Tom) you deserve a medal.
